The latest 2015 edition of Photoshop CC offers a noticeable speed increase over previous versions when using its healing, spot healing and patch tools but, even so, Affinity Photo has the edge.ДЇor ultimate control, you can create custom brushes and nozzles with advanced flow dynamics, and there's built-in support for Wacom and other graphics tablets. Similar speed and dexterity is available when retouching images, using tools like dodge and burn, clone, blemish removal and red-eye fix. The inpainting tool enables you to literally paint people and objects out of a scene, automatically blending the resulting hole into the surroundings. Similarly, live filters offer instant previews and non-destructive application. The same immediate, constantly updating previews also apply to live layer blends, for which 30 options are available. It's great to be able to get instant feedback on adjustments, which can also be applied as 'live layers'.

The 'live' aspect of watching images update as you work on them extends to customisable effects that include lighting, blurring, tilt & shift, and many more. This makes the editing process wonderfully fluid, and enhances the creative experience. Most adjustments can be previewed live, in real time and without any lag, even if you're working on images with huge numbers of layers. Not only are the editing tools very good, with excellent fine-tuning and customisation options, they're also super-fast in action. That speed is on show throughout Affinity Photo. The speed and fluidity with which edits are updated on screen is particularly impressive. If you want to use the canvas rotation buttons, I use the square brackets.The Liquify persona comes complete with a mesh view, and contains a range of tools for push, pinch, twirl and turbulence distortions.ДЇinally, the Liquify persona hosts an array of pinch, push, twirl and turbulence tools, complete with mesh view and the ability to freeze or thaw selected areas of the image. Specifically 'b' and 'e' (brush and eraser) are factory set to cycle through several existing tools, so you can just go through the keyboard shortcuts menu and delete all the 'b' and 'e' instances which you don't need. You have to noodle a bit with your keyboard shortcuts, since the buttons just trigger those. The bar toggles between ClipStudio Paint and Affinity Photo.

I don't know if this is useful for anybody, but I made a button control bar for AP which has an Undo and Redo feature. I use shortcuts all the time too but give me the simple things too, like 2 little reversed nike icons.

The real-estate in Designer is already adjustable with the editable toolbar just make it better. We moved away from DOS years ago to point & click OOP so the less clicks the better for us simple folks.

This software shouldn't just be aimed at pro's who love 2 handed shortcuts, make it for the one armed guy/gal as well. Yes I could click through the history but as I just stated I am a bit off my face(not right now It's morning here in NZ). I quite often do my work late at night having a beer, smoking a joint & want to be able to just click the friggin back button.

My daughter has 10 years growing up with Apple but now uses Windows as well & likes both for different reasons. A lot of the world don't choose the machine platforms, they get put in front of them at work, or school.

Make it suit both Windowzy and Macdonalds users. This software (and Photo) could be the kick in the pants that adobe should get. Dreamweaver allow you to create your own favorites toolbar, fantastic & dynamic, gives you personal options. I would think being able to add the undo/redo buttons in the tools preferences is a brilliant thing. I've 15 years in software dev which have always included graphic software mainly Fireworks but also PS.
